On Friday the prime minister Dmitry Medvedev visited All-Russian scientific research institute experimental physics in Sarov . The institute was founded in 1946 and celebrates the 70 anniversary this spring. Exactly here the first Soviet nuclear and hydrogen bombs were developed. The prime minister walked on confidential institute, and also visited the cottage settlement Apple-tree garden which is recently built for young scientists.
The prime minister called on Pavel Ermakov's family who works as the chief of group of programmers in one of institutes of the nuclear center. Ermakov told a premiere that his two-storeyed cottage is constructed on credit. Thanks to subsidizing of an interest rate by the nuclear center the mortgage manages in only five annual interest rates.
- On forces such payments? - the prime minister asked.
- Quite on a pocket, - the programmer nodded.
- Very good house, fine, - the prime minister praised and noticed that the similar program of construction of housing for young scientists should be distributed over all country.
During visit of Sarov Medvedev also communicated to winners of a government award in the field of science and equipment for 2015 and laid flowers at a monument three times to the Hero of Socialist work, the founder of the sarovsky nuclear center academician Yuli Khariton.
Then the prime minister held the meeting devoted to the Russian information and supercomputer technologies. Medvedev noticed that Russia could become one of the main world suppliers of the software.
- The task in general is solved. Perhaps, for some other country - small or with other scientific potential, with other history, with weak mathematical opportunities and undeveloped mathematical schools - it would be and not in power. But at us both opportunities, and competences are sufficient, it is a lot of talented people who are engaged in it and, of course, our country can obviously enter this market, - the prime minister declared.
Thus, according to Medvedev, anybody never in this sphere will be able to receive absolute leadership.
- It is obvious that there will be an infinite competition between the certain states. We simply have to look in this sphere adequately. Possibilities of domestic market huge in this sphere, a foreign market - simply boundless. Now the share of the Russian industrial software doesn't exceed 5-7 percent. All of us time are in situation catching up, - Medvedev noticed.
According to the prime minister, in the certain directions dependence of the Russian companies on the import software reaches 90 percent.
- So far as concerns the household purposes, it can be not so critical, and so far as concerns industrial use, it gains sometimes extremely important value. Or we get to dependence on this or that producer of programs, or to us in some situation simply refuse access, - Medvedev told and gave interesting statistics. The annual market of engineering programs for management of the enterprises is estimated more, than at 90 billion rubles.
- But these programs it is necessary to serve, update still, for free of charge it nobody does. One business when it is our programs, another matter - when it is necessary to pay for them in foreign currency. And in some cases software packages simply become inaccessible, including because of sanctions, - the prime minister recognized.
